g) Data privacy provisions on the use and application of Google Analytics (with anonymisation function)

The controller has integrated the Google Analytics component (with anonymisation function) on this website. Google Analytics is a web analytics service. Web analytics is the collection, compilation and evaluation of data on the behaviour of website visitors. A web analytics service collects, among other things, data about the website from which a data subject came to a website (“referrer”), which sub-pages of the website were accessed or how often and for how long a sub-page has been viewed. Web analytics are predominantly used to optimise a website and to analyse the costs/benefits of internet advertising.

The operating company of the Google Analytics component is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland.

The controller uses the addition “_gat._anonymizeIp” for web analytics using Google Analytics. By means of this addition, the IP address of the internet connection of the person concerned is shortened and anonymised by Google if the access to our internet pages is from a member state of the European Union or from another state that is a signatory to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

The purpose of the Google Analytics component is to analyse the flow of visitors to our website. Google uses the data and information obtained to evaluate the use of our website, to compile online reports for us which show the activities on our website, and to provide further services in connection with the use of our website.

Google Analytics places a cookie on the data subject’s IT system. Cookies have already been explained above. By setting the cookie, Google is able to analyse the use of our website. Each time one of the individual pages of this website, which is operated by the controller for processing and on which a Google Analytics component has been integrated, is visited, the internet browser on the information technology system of the data subject is automatically prompted by the respective Google Analytics component to transmit data to Google for the purpose of online analysis. In the course of this technical process, Google receives knowledge of personal data, such as the IP address of the data subject, which Google uses, among other things, to trace the origin of visitors and clicks and subsequently to enable commission settlements.

Personal information, such as the access time, the location from which access originated and the frequency of visits to our website by the data subject, is stored by means of the cookie. Each time our website is visited, this personal data, including the IP address of the internet connection used by the data subject, is transmitted to Google in the United States of America. This personal data is stored by Google in the United States of America. Google may potentially share this personal data collected via the technical process with third parties.

The data subject can prevent our website from setting cookies, as already described above, at any time by means of a corresponding setting in the internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Choosing this setting in the internet browser used would also prevent Google from setting a cookie on the data subject’s information technology system. In addition, a cookie already set by Google Analytics can be deleted at any time via the internet browser or other software programs.

Furthermore, the data subject has the option of objecting to and preventing the collection of data generated by Google Analytics and relating to the use of this website and the processing of this data by Google. To do so, the data subject must download and install a browser add-on by clicking the link https://tools.google.com. This browser add-on informs Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information about visits to websites may be transmitted to Google Analytics. The installation of the browser add-on is considered by Google to be an objection.  If the data subject’s information technology system is deleted, formatted or reinstalled at a later date, the data subject must reinstall the browser add-on in order to deactivate Google Analytics. If the browser add-on has been uninstalled or deactivated by the data subject or by another person within their sphere of control, it is possible to reinstall or reactivate the browser add-on.

If you visit our site using a mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), you must click this link instead (status: opt-out cookie is set) to prevent tracking by Google Analytics within this website in the future. This is also possible as an alternative to the above browser add-on. By clicking the link, an opt-out cookie is set in your browser that is only valid for this browser and this domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted, so you will have to click the link again.

Further information and the applicable Google privacy policy can be viewed at https://www.google.de/ and http://www.google.com/. Google Analytics is explained in more detail using this link https://www.google.com.

Section 4 Objection or revocation against the processing of your data

(1) If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke this at any time. This revocation influences the permissibility of processing your personal data after you have given it to us. The legality of data processing based on the consent until revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

(2) If we base the processing of your personal data on the balancing of interests, you may file an objection to the processing. This is the case if processing is not particularly necessary to fulfil a contract with you, which is described by us in the following description of the functions. When exercising an objection like this, we request that you explain the reasons as to why we should not process your personal data as we have done. In the event of your justified objection, we will examine the situation and either stop or adjust data processing or point out to you our compelling legitimate reasons on the basis of which we will continue processing.

(3) Of course, you can object to the processing of your personal data for advertising purposes and data analysis at any time. You can inform us about your objection to advertising using the following contact data: datenschutz@antewa.de or by post to
